Overview

Kathmandu, Pokhara & Chitwan Round Tour, also known as Nepal Golden Triangle Tour, is an unmatched way of beholding Nepal in one trip. This Nepal tour combines all the things Nepal has to bestow: unique culture, captivating architecture, long history, serene lakes, snowclad mountains, and diverse flora and fauna.

The tour starts from Kathmandu Valley, which is a wonderland for historical art and culture lovers. The capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, takes us back in time and enables us to experience authentic Nepalese Architecture and novel culture. As you may know, the valley is full of temples and UNESCO Cultural Heritage Sites; this tour goes around most of them.

Out of there, this tour happens to reach Pokhara, the picturesque city of Nepal and tourists’ ultimate place. Pokhara, which is also a starting point of the famous Annapurna Base Camp Trek, often drives its visitors wild by its scenery of Phewa Lake and the jaw-dropping Annapurna Region’s Massifs; you’ll try not to go insane. Along with sightseeing the major spots of Pokhara, the tour also arranges a morning visit to Sarangkot. The spot is one of the best view hillstation in Nepal to observe the Himalayas and day’s dawn.

After getting awestruck by the happenings of Kathmandu and Pokhara, the tour reaches Chitwan, the unparalleled place for Jungle Safari in Nepal. The last point of Kathmandu, Pokhara & Chitwan Round Tour or Nepal Golden Triangle Tour, is all about Nepal’s loaded vegetation and wildlife inside Chitwan National Park. You will get lost into the woods to do various jungle activities for which the park is famous for like Elephant Safari, Birds Watching, Jungle Walk, and more.

Combining all of these tour’s happenings, you get the best possible way of traveling in Nepal. And that is what this Kathmandu, Pokhara & Chitwan Tour or Nepal Golden Triangle Tour offers, a thorough Nepal Tour experience.

With an excited heart, you’ll land in Kathmandu, where we’ll be waiting to welcome you timely. Then we head to your hotel for your check-in. You’ll take full rest at the hotel following the long flight. Later in the dusk, we’ll meet up again for a welcome brunch and team meeting. There will be a detailed talk about the Nepal Tour during the dinner before you go back to the hotel to sleep. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Full Day Kathmandu Valley?EUR(TM)s Sightseeing

As mentioned in the Kathmandu, Pokhara & Chitwan Round tour itinerary, we’ll step out for a thorough Kathmandu Valley sightseeing. The valley is dotted with quite a few cultural heritage sites, so we’ll only go to the must-visit ones. Starting from Monkey Temple(Swaymbhunath Stupa), one of the important Buddhist Stupa, we’ll slowly move to other heritage sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square and Bouddhanath Stupa. Ticking the Kathmandu city’s heritage sites, we’ll go for the remaining heritage sites of the Kathmandu Valley that lie in Lalitpur and Bhaktapur city. It will be a great day of sightseeing when we’ll walk through ages-old temples and heritage sites. After the full tour day, we’ll retrace back to our hotel in Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3: Drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu and Lakeside Exploration

Following a memorable day in Kathmandu, we’ll turn to the west, where Pokhara is located around 204 KM away. It will be a scenic drive of 5-6hrs upon a winding highway through the beautiful landscape of Nepal. On the other part of the day, we’ll reach Pokhara and freshen up a little bit at our hotel. Then we went around the Lakeside of Phewa Lake, which is just by the city. We’ll use this time to enjoy the lake’s view, boat riding in the lake, and hangouts in the area. For the night, we’ll get back to the hotel in Pokhara.

Day 4: Morning Visit to Sarangkot and Full Day Pokhara Sightseeing

In the beautiful vicinity of Pokhara, we’ll wake early before sunrise to go to a hilltop called Sarangkot(1,519m/4,984feet). For that, we will drive asap to the place just to observe the breathtaking sunrise, Annapurna Region’s mountains view, and the sight of the Pokhara valley too. That particular view from Sarangkot will keep us amazed for a while.Afterward, we’ll drop back to our hotel from the top for breakfast and to begin the full day of Pokhara Sightseeing.  Popular places like Mahendra Cave, Davis Fall, World Peace Pagoda, International Mountain Museum, and others will be on our to-visit list for the day. While we tour Pokhara, the Phewa Lake and Macchapuchre( Mt Fishtail) will keep on teasing us the whole day. This day full of touring will end back in the hotel of Pokhara.

Day 5: Drive to Chitwan from Pokhara

The morning breakfast will bid us a farewell from Pokhara as we join a drive to Chitwan National Park. After 5-6 hours of the drive, we’ll reach Chitwan to do check-in at a resort. We’ll eat some food and rest for a bit until the late afternoon. Then we’ll go out for a short walk around the riverside of the Rapti River. We’ll have a timelapse sunset view at the river before going to a local village for an ethnic dance performance by the region’s people. Following the performance, we’ll trace back to our resort for the night’s rest.

Day 6: Full-day in Chitwan National Park

Now is the time when we’ll be able to explore the wildness of the first national park of Nepal. The first choice place for jungle safari in Nepal, Chitwan National Park, is home to many distinct and endangered animals. We’ll go on an elephant ride or jeep ride deep in the forest of the park. If lucky, we’ll come against many wildlife including One Horned Rhinoceros and Bengal Tigers. Other than that, we’ll explore the breeding center of the park, the Bishazari lake for bird watching, the Rapti river via canoe ride, and more. We'll have a great day inside the park. All tired with a lot of good memories, we’ll reach our hotel for the night. Overnight at Chitwan's resort.

Day 7: Drive back to Kathmandu from Chitwan

We’ll enjoy some last moments in Chitwan while we eat our breakfast before leaving for Kathmandu. Through the same highway, our bus will retrace for 5-6 hours to bring us back in the crowd of Kathmandu. The rest of the time will be free time in Kathmandu. You can use the time to buy some souvenirs for the people back home or you can explore some nearby areas and hangout places. Overnight in Kathmandu’s hotel.

Day 8: Departure from Kathmandu

And this day will bring the end of the Kathmandu, Pokhara, & Chitwan Round Nepal Tour. We’ll assist you with a timely airport transfer as per your flight schedule. We’ll part our ways until your next adventure in Nepal with us. Farewell!

We have just finished the Annapurna Base Camp trek with Sabbatical Explore Nepal. Our guide Shiva and Samir  were excellent, very friendly young men with good English. The looked after us very well, staying with us and supporting us as we trekked, and making sure our meals and accommodation were sorted each day. Shiva and Samir  were very knowledgeable about the mountains, the areas we visited and Nepal in general. It was lovely to share stories with them, and I’m sure they will make excellent guides as well.

I had an amazing experience with Sabbatical Explore Nepal when I visited Nepal during my Gap year 2018. Our guide and driver were so experienced and helpful. I remember seeing many animals like tigers, deers, rhinos during Jungle Safari in Chitwan. I even went to the Elephant Breeding Centre and that was amazing. In Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha I visited Maya Devi Temple and other monasteries. I was mesmerized by the architectural designs of the Temples and Monasteries built by different countries. I was a little sad that I couldn't visit other amazing places but the 6 days I spent in Nepal were very meaningful and memorable. I am looking forward to my next trip to Nepal.

Katmandu, Bhaktapur Patan, and another locals city I forgot the name ( Themi) are the most interesting cultural cities for sightseeing in Katmandu valley. It's a very very vibrant and tremendous and much rich culture in Nepal. I went to Pokhara and on the way rafting in the river was great fun. 8 days of trekking to Khopra's dada was awesome and amazing with the fabulous horizontal mountain view of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna series. After the trek, I went to Chitwan for 3 days Jungle Safari and back to Kathmandu via a flight.  I am very thankful to my guide and the organizer Sabbatical Explore Nepal for the best trip arrangement even for a short time. As we have discussed at the farewell dinner together I am sure to be back with my other working colleague.
I already miss the beautiful mountains and caring people of Nepal. Specially Shiva my guide Shesh.
Namaste ! and see you asap !!
