We had a great time with Shiva and his team, from being picked up from the airport to being dropped off there, everything was just perfect!  We had "culture tour and a trip to Shaman Village" Hiking.  Got to see many cultural sites around Kathmandu and was an incredible experience in monastery visiting monks. The program was great and fantastic as far as we wanted away from the tourist crowds, all accommodations were good. It’s really a great opportunity to explore Nepal as local. The “TeamSabbatical” were very helpful and friendly as well. When we have a questions or a problem can find someone on the spot immediately to find a answer and solve it. We highly recommend the trip Meet the Monks with Boudhanath Stupa tour, and the Kathmandu Cultural tour together.

I had an amazing experience with Sabbatical Explore Nepal when I visited Nepal during my Gap year 2018. Our guide and driver were so experienced and helpful. I remember seeing many animals like tigers, deers, rhinos during Jungle Safari in Chitwan. I even went to the Elephant Breeding Centre and that was amazing. In Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha I visited Maya Devi Temple and other monasteries. I was mesmerized by the architectural designs of the Temples and Monasteries built by different countries. I was a little sad that I couldn't visit other amazing places but the 6 days I spent in Nepal were very meaningful and memorable. I am looking forward to my next trip to Nepal.

We had a wonderful time on our gap year in Nepal. The Total 48 days in Nepal on our career break trip was meaningful and memorable. Kathmandu city is amazing and vibrant with different cultures of Temples, Stupas and also Mosque. Monkey Temple, Pashupati Crematory Kathmandu Durbar square, Bauddha Nath very famous historical-cultural-heritage sites in Kathmandu. We have visit less-visited local places in Kathmandu and lived with a local family in Bhaktapur for two weeks. Bhaktapur is a completely deep traditional and diverse city on the basis of culture and language. JWAJULAPA PASA :P)After Bhaktapur, we went to trekking to Kalo and Seto kunda.  It was major with two holy lakes  of Nepal which helps to shows the Himalayan beauty of Ganesh Himal. The one who offers for trekking in Kalo and Seto Kunda got a great opportunity to learn and experience typical Tamang and Gurung culture. The trek of Kalo and Seto Kunda was with the guide and he had arranged of vehicles from Kathmandu to Syabrubeshi which takes 8 to 9 hours to reach Syabrubeshi. Syabrubeshi is taken as the gateway to Langtang valley which is situated at the confluence of Bhotekosi River and Langtang Khola. i and my friend will defenately visit again to Kathmandu and we are sure for Social Tourism & Sabbatical Explore Nepal are the best career break trip planner in Nepal.

Katmandu, Bhaktapur Patan, and another locals city I forgot the name ( Themi) are the most interesting cultural cities for sightseeing in Katmandu valley. It's a very very vibrant and tremendous and much rich culture in Nepal. I went to Pokhara and on the way rafting in the river was great fun. 8 days of trekking to Khopra's dada was awesome and amazing with the fabulous horizontal mountain view of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna series. After the trek, I went to Chitwan for 3 days Jungle Safari and back to Kathmandu via a flight.  I am very thankful to my guide and the organizer Sabbatical Explore Nepal for the best trip arrangement even for a short time. As we have discussed at the farewell dinner together I am sure to be back with my other working colleague. I already miss the beautiful mountains and caring people of Nepal. Specially Shiva my guide Shesh.Namaste ! and see you asap !!

My partner and I met Shiva years ago on a trip to Vietnam. We had Da Nang trip together. We were on a plan for the next trip to Nepal and had found ourselves to figure out what to do. We had heard so much conflicting information from other travelers, guides people etc. When we met Shiva he went through various options with us outlines different costs and ways to save. He outlined everything we wanted at various prices and levels but with absolutely no hard sale.In the end, we booked  Everest Base camp trek with a porter and transportation through him. He also referred us to decent suggestions and ideas for the Kathmandu valley tourSubsequently, we have been back twice and got help and advice from  Shiva. He is honest and caring and does things even when there is no gain in it for him.I couldn't recommend him more highly he is the best in Kathmandu and a genuinely nice man. I have sent friends to him since and they have all reported the same.He goes above and beyond and knows tourism in Nepal no matter how pedestrian or extreme; an expert in his field!Thank you Shiva, see you next time!!!Roni & Peter
